Just a few thoughts before going to bed tonight…

1) Why is it so challenging to find and create your own happiness as an adult? Aside from the added responsibilities such as finances, why is it that so many things that used to make us happy when we were younger are no longer enough? It seems like finding happiness is a constant and ever changing journey. Once you feel like you’ve found it and you’re at peace, something happens to throw it all off…and then it’s just one big process all over again.

2) WHAT is happiness? Is it contentment? Is it settling? Is it just a brief moment of joy? Is it when all of your worries are finally gone? Is it finding a purpose?

3)What is the point of life? Is it just waking up, finding a way to make money so you can survive, dealing with your daily responsibilities, going to bed, and repeat? Does anyone ever actually feel fully satisfied with the life they’ve lived while on their death bed?

4)Does the fact that I think about these things a little too often make me depressed, or a realistic adult?

I just want to take a minute to say, MY LIFE IS SLOWLY BECOMING MORE POSITIVE! I love this, a lot of my worries are beginning to go away and I’m beginning to take charge of things that I want to change. 

I’m about to have a new and much better living situation in the summer.

I’m finally getting the hours and pay I needed to pay off things.

I FINALLY KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO AFFORD SHIT AGAIN.

I’m eating a lot healthier by habit now.

I’ve lost a little bit of weight, and can’t wait to continue getting into better shape.

It’s approaching “trip season”! I can’t wait to go places!

My birthday is in a month and I can’t wait.

I’m happier, and I think it shows with everything I’m doing.

Seeing posts about people claiming that “God has a life plan for us” or “God has life figured out for us so we don’t have to” really irritates the shit out of me. I have no problem with people choosing to believe in a deity, and which ever deity it is. I have no problem  with religion. I do however, have an issue with people giving up. Yes, life is a fucking bitch. Life is hard, scary, and confusing. Sometimes, life is even a little depressing for a few periods. However, we create the life we wish to live. We create our happiness. WE are in control of what happens to us. This “Jesus take the wheel” crap does nothing but promote laziness. “Oh, I got laid off of work, I guess working wasn’t in God’s plan for me” is bullshit. Grow the fuck up and solve your own problems. It’s an excuse for people to not face reality and just DEAL with it like the rest of us. It is a sign of weakness. People that live by that philosophy are absolutely nothing but cowards to me. Wake up and face reality. There are no guaranteed happy endings. There is no guaranteed life plan. Be strong and face life head on like the rest of us. Get off your ass and create your destiny.
